Taking the battery system as core product, KeyPower focuses on the fields of vehicles and energy such as passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, sightseeing vehicle, construction machinary and energy storage system. In order to promote the revolution of electrification for various vehicles, power machines and energy storage systems, KeyPower always insists on developing and manufacturing high-quality customized products for customers, which will also create greater value for end users with more energy-saving, higher efficiency, more environmental friendly and better user experience. KeyPower was founded in 2010 and with a total number of employees exceeds 1000. The headquarter and R&D center is in Beijing and manufacturing bases are in Suzhou and Liuzhou. After decades of specialized in the battery system field, KeyPower has accumulated rich experience in product development, especially in highly customized products. KeyPower has held over a hundred of patents licensed, participated in several national and international high-tech R&D projects, and formed long-term partnership with numerous clients in vehicle, power machine and energy storage fields.

2010-01Foundation of KeyPower
Beijing KeyPower Technologies Co., Ltd was established in 2010 in the basement of “Tsinghua Science Park YuQuan HuiGu Park”, and then relocated to “Manufacturing plant of Tsinghua University”. The four founders were graduated from the department of automotive engineering of Tsinghua University (renamed as School of Vehicle and Mobility in 2019).

2010-05Successful Development of the Battery Swapping System for Passenger Vehicle as the First Prototype in China
The first prototype of automatic battery swapping system for passenger vehicle in China was successfully developed by KeyPower independently, which had been delivered to Potevio CNOOC and displayed to numerous experts, scholars and professionals in China.

2010-04KeyPower Participated in the 11th Five-Year-Plan National Major Science And Technology Achievements Exhibition.
The first prototype of automatic battery swapping system for passenger vehicle in China, which was developed by KeyPower, was presented in the 11th Five-Year-Plan National Major Science and Technology Achievements Exhibition, visited by senior leaders of the party and government, and reported by CCTV.

2011-02Delivered Battery Swapping System To Yancheng Battery Swapping Station Of China State Grid.
KeyPower delivered the key battery swapping system and many peripheral equipments to battery swapping station in Yancheng city of Jiangsu province, which was constructed by China State Grid Corporation.

2012-04Delivered Battery Swapping System To Guangzhou Battery Swapping Station Of China Southern Power Grid Corporation.
KeyPower delivered the key battery swapping system to Guangzhou electric vehicle experience center of China Southern Power Grid Corporation.

2013-04Establishment of Testing Capability
KeyPower relocated to Xisanqi district of Beijing, and established capability of experiment and testing including test in electric , safety, environmental, vibration, and test for electronic controller. Till then, KeyPower possessed production capabilities in small batch.

2014-05Supplying Battery System for Commercial Vehicle in Small Batch
The development of power battery system for light bus was completed, which had the advantages of high safety, high compact, high protection class rating(IP67) and high reliability. KeyPower successfully delivered these products to several domestic bus enterprises in small batch.

2015-05Foundation of Suzhou KeyPower
Suzhou KeyPower Technologies Co., Ltd. was founded and Suzhou Manufacturing Base was started construction. The production lines were developed by KeyPower independently, which featuring high level of both automation and flexibility.

2016-09Start of series production in Suzhou Manufacturing base
Suzhou Manufacturing Base was completed construction and started production with independently developed automatic production lines. Products were delivered to several domestic famous commercial vehicle manufacturers, and resulted in leading market share.

2017-04Start of Series Procution of Battery System for Passenger Car
Several products were developed for several models of Zhidou electric vehicles. Among them, the energy density of the battery pack for vehicle model with 300km range was up to 158Wh/kg, which was in the leading position in China at that time. Battery system for passenger vehicle started mass production.

2018-05Started series supplying to SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile (SGMW )
With the successful development of several battery systems for several vehicle models (E100, E200) for SGMW, the production capacity of KeyPower was increased significantly.

2019-04Foundation of Sichuan KeyPower
Sichuan KeyPower Technologies Co., Ltd. was registered in Yibin.

2020-04Started series production for Hongguang Mini EV of SGMW
KeyPower developed and started series production power battery systems to several models of SGMW Hongguang Mini EV, which was called as “the people's car”. KeyPower’s monthly output was over 6,000 packs. In order to raise production capacity, KeyPower accelerated the construction of new production lines and the total monthly production capacity would exceed 10,000 units after the completion of the lines.

2020-09Relocation of Beijing Headquarter
Headquarters of KeyPower in Beijing was relocated to Diantong Innovative Plaza, Jiuxianqiao North Road, Chaoyang District. The total area of KeyPower exceeds 20,000 square meters.

2020-05Foundation of Yibin KeyPower Battery Swapping Technologies Co., Ltd
Yibin KeyPower Battery Swapping Technologies Co., Ltd was registered to develop and sale battery swapping equipment for commercial vehicles.

2020-04Foundation of Jinmao Key Power
Jinmao Key Power Intelligent Transportation Technologies Co., Ltd was jointly established by Key Power and Jinmao intelligent transportation, which focused on develop and sale of battery swapping equipment for heavy-duty truck.

2021-03Started of production of Suzhou Yangpu Factary
In March 2021, Yangpu plant, the second plant in Suzhou, started production. Key Power’s total monthly production capacity exceeded 20,000 units.
